Today, my class took the Metro Gold Line Train to Union Station in Los Angeles for an Urban Retreat. We spent some time a couple of different places around that area: the oldest street in Los Angeles, the first catholic church here, and Chinatown. It’s amazing how close these places are to each other, but how far away they seem. For a while, I felt like I was in some Latin country, and about 5 minutes later, I was in China. We ended the day with lunch at Homegirl Cafe. Good food, fun times.
